Mr. Rude vs Mr. Sexy

September 4, 2007

A concept draft that finally didn’t make it into the production stage. It depicts both archaeotypical males in their 30s: the rude, unsensitive, unhygienic masculine guy and the classy, metrosexual, cuisine-expert type.

Done to support an article on metrics in the Interactiva magazine (June 2007 issue), same section as this one.

This one’s got more of a chalk-like finish.

MSN Buddies

March 7, 2007

I was commissioned by MSN to dress-up some Buddies. Namely: a fireman, a “goyesca” -see below- and, you know, a Lenin one. Why would MSN want a Lenin Buddy I chose not to ask. These are the mostly creepy results.

fireman buddy
30% photomanip, 70% digital painting

goyesque buddy
Goyesque = Goya paintings’ ladies. Spanish 2 the core. 100% Photoshop.

freakin’ lenin buddy
Plain blasphemous. What can I say? I needed the money.

The first two were done in PS and the last one in Illustrator since they needed a hi-res version for a print ad. Fun stuff to do, even tough I still have nightmares with Lenin’s ghost returning from the grave to make me pay for what i’ve done to his dignity.

Crawling Eye

Drawn on request for a friend. The eye is kind of a librarian. The kippah? Well… the voices told me. Flash + Photoshop.

Shapeshifter

Shapeshifters are lone creatures. It’s in their nature.

Asplanets

A graphic done in Photoshop for my VGA Planets player group. From scratch. I did this one at exactly this resolution, and turned out, unexpectedly, a rather cool poster. A pity.
